Hallazgos: Las radiografías de tórax muestran una pequeña masa mediastínica escondida tras el cayado aórtico en la placa PA (A, flecha), visible en el espacio claro anterior en la proyección lateral (B, flecha):
TC confirma la masa en el mediastino anterior (C-D, flechas). La intervención quirúrgica confirmó el diagnóstico de timoma.
Teaching point: Pequeñas masas mediastínicas pueden pasar desapercibidas en la radiografía de tórax. Es muy importante mirar siempre el espacio claro anterior porque puede proporcionar información valiosa.
Aortosclerosis y en la proyección lateral me da la impresión de un lóbulo pulmonar accesorio.
